Approval from Ministry of International Trade And Industry to Resume Operations

The board of directors (“Board”) of Fortress Minerals Limited (the “Company” and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) refer to the announcements released by the Company on 17 March 2020, 25 March 2020, 13 April 2020 and 24 April 2020 on the Movement Control Order (“MCO”) implemented by the Government of Malaysia and the extension of the MCO to 14 April 2020, 28 April 2020 and subsequently 12 May 2020 respectively.

The Board wishes to update shareholders that the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry (“MITI”) had on 25 April 2020 and 29 April 2020 approved the resumption of the operations of the Company’s subsidiaries, namely Fortress Logistics Sdn. Bhd. and Fortress Mining Sdn. Bhd., subject to the conditions stated in the approval, which include taking precautionary hygiene and health measures during the MCO period. Following the MITI’s approval, our mining and processing activities in Bukit Besi, Terengganu, Malaysia have fully resumed on 29 April 2020.

The Board will continue to monitor the evolving situation on the Covid-19 pandemic and the Malaysian Government’s response thereto and will make the appropriate announcement(s) as and when there are material developments on this matter.
